To Do: Play Golf

Continuing with my obsession with things I now nothing about, I want to talk about playing golf.

I honestly never cared about golf, I think all I know about golf is that Tiger Woods is the best and Mark Weir is Canadian, that you wear preppy clothes and that some private clubs are awfully expensive.

Last year, people at my office got an invitation for a corporate golf tournament. My coworkers at the time (two awesome chicks) were quite excited, they had been practicing their "swing" and were really looking forward to this event, then I heard the guys were also participating, and suddenly I felt a little looser-ish.

Time passed, they went, had fun, girls bought clubs and cute outfits, guys had fun, they all bonded. Suddenly they were all best friends. I had missed my chance.

Then my godmother mentions at a party that she plays golf, that she loves it, that its pretty fun, challenging, it sounded like the perfect combination between a "brain" sport (with angle and wind factor calculations) strength ( send it far) and technique ( one has to have perfect position). She was going to Orlando for a golf weekend.

This had me thinking, golf sounds fun!

First you go somewhere nice, preferably with lots of sun and green grass, change into cute outfit then chit chat, try to swing (if it doesn't work, then you giggle like a schoolgirl and everything is forgotten, bonus if you get a cute guy to "teach you") have some water, chit chat, walk again, swing, end of game, wine (beer for those who are THAT refined), food, chit chat, closing important deal and then go home.

It sounds like something I could get used to...
